Cost: Bring a snack, drink and if you like a game

Members and non-members are welcome to join us for an evening of card or board games.

If you have a game to bring, we’ll give it a try.

Some guys come to talk and visit, you don’t have to play a game.

Come and join us, get into the conversation and laughter.

Our game selection varies and is fully explained to all.

Monthly Membership Meeting (Program: Book Discussion)

The Monthly Membership meeting is held on the Second Saturday of Every Month except July and December.

Program: Patrick Dilley, a professor at SIU Carbondale, is returning to speak to us about his latest book, From Gay Liberation to Campus Assimilation: early Non-Heterosexual Student Organizing at Midwestern Universities.  The book just came out in February.  It covers the late 1960s through the early 1990s, focusing on the creation, mission and ideals of some of the earliest gay and lesbian college student organizations.

A Social Hour with refreshments follows the presentation.

Location: Lafayette Park United Methodist Church, 2300 Lafayette Ave., lower level (side door entrance).  Door is secured; if no one is there to greet you, please press the doorbell button.

Suggested Donation: $3.00 for members; $5.00 for non-members

Golden Happy Hour at Just John

PTSL meet up at Just John’s for Golden Happy Hour from 5 to 8 PM. An RSVP is not necessary for this event. Just show up any time during happy hour and enjoy the evening with fellow Prime Timers. Complementary food during happy hour.

This event does not have a coordinator. Prime Timers can be found in a group in the rear of the bar or out on the patio in nice weather. If you don’t see us, ask the bartender.

West County Lunch at American Legion Post 397 – Creve Coeur — RSVP Requested

Join us for a mid-week lunch at American Legion Post 397 – Creve Coeur (934 E Rue De La Banque and American Legion Dr. (Located behind Bristol Seafood Grill restaurant at the corner of Olive Blvd. and N. New Ballas Rd.).

This Post is special in the St. Louis area for both its reasonable lunch offerings (click for menu), its low priced full service bar and No Taxes.

Park and use the front or back door, order and pick up at the bar, eat at our tables in the adjoining private banquet room (if available). We can eat and then possibly play games after lunch. Bring your favorite, maybe dominoes or cards.

A reminder, purchases at the Post support our veterans. Come have lunch with your friends and benefit those who have fought for our rights and freedoms.

Please join fellow Prime Timers for the Annual SAGE Summer Celebration, bringing together LGBTQ individuals and equality supporters to mingle with fellow advocates and celebrate the strides we have made in enhancing the quality of life of LGBTQ older adults through service, advocacy, and community awareness.

This year’s Dennis W. Hostetler, SAGE of PROMO Fund Advocate of the Year Award will be presented to Steven Brawley. In 2007, Steven L. Brawley began publishing a St. Louis LGBT history blog that served as the beginnings of the now fully-established St. Louis LGBT History Project, a contributor to LGBT archives at the Missouri History Museum, the State Historical Society of Missouri, and Washington University in St. Louis.
