Specifically, Ken talks about how, as a gay physician coming of age in New York in the early 1980s, encountering one of the very first cases of what we would come to know as HIV/AIDS would change the course of his professional and personal life

The Blue Strawberry is St. Louis’s brand new cabaret room and supper club with a wonderful menu and artisinal cocktails. Come early for a fabulous dinner and drinks, and stay for the show. Valet parking available.

KEN HALLER BEST ST. LOUIS CABARET PERFORMER: Cabaret performers come and go, but Ken Haller, a pediatrician by day, is a St. Louis legend. If you’re interested in what makes the Great American Songbook great, you owe it to yourself to give this man a listen.” – Calvin Wilson, The GO! List, St. Louis Post-Dispatch
“Fast and funny! Truly moving! Haller delivered the goods with that combination of theatrical smarts and vocal authority that has made him one of our town’s principal cabaret exports.” – Chuck Lavazzi, Cabaret Scenes Magazine

“Excellence on every level! Wonderful singing, consummate story-telling, a marvelous performance!” – Cabaret legend Steve Ross

“Pediatricians have many talents—Ken is a dear friend and a wonderful pediatrician—and he does a moving and delightful cabaret show with songs and stories about families and growing up—and turning into yourself.” – New York Times columnist Perri Klass, MD

PROMO @Home Virtual Series: LGBTQ Equality Rally with Lori Lindsey
Apr 28 @ 11:00 am – 1:00 pm

LIVE session:  PROMO @HOME – Virtual LGBTQ Equality Rally with Lori Lindsey? It’s next Tuesday, April 28 at 11:00 am, and we cannot wait to have you join us!

PROMO’s Virtual LGBTQ Equality Rally is our chance to rally with fellow Missourians to hear first-hand stories from national and local leaders who are creating change and taking action together!  Join us with Lori Lindsey, former professional soccer player for USWNT, currently a soccer analyst for the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), Major League Soccer (MLS) and ESPN. Along with Rep. Greg Razer (Kansas CIty), Rep. Crystal Quade (Springfield), Rep. Tracy McCreery (St. Louis), and Sen. Brian Williams (St. Louis).

As the coronavirus pandemic continues to spread, Missourians across the state are left vulnerable to the deep consequences of the virus. Among the most vulnerable populations includes our LGBTQ community whose vulnerability is made worse in a state without nondiscrimination protections. PROMO is playing a critical role in making sure our communities and leaders understand the importance of protecting all LGBTQ Missourians during this time and in the future.

This year, Missouri saw more anti-LGBTQ bills than any other state in the country that sought to rollback marriage equality, attack transgender youth, and erase our LGBTQ community. These 19 anti-LGBTQ bills made it impossible for pro-equality bills like the Missouri Nondiscrimination Act to move forward.

It’s time for us to share our stories, and why now more than ever, we need to uplift LGBTQ stories in our communities. Join us online on April 28 with Lori Lindsey, champion lawmakers, and PROMO. Get a legislative update, hear why sharing your story matters in creating change, and learn how to use your personal story as a tool to reach equality through 3 easy actions on that day!

We’re hosting our virtual rally on Webex. All you need is an internet and device like a computer or phone. Registration is required––we will send a link and a password to join shortly before the our rally starts, so watch your email before we begin!

Together let’s make space for #MOEquality on April 28! (click here)

*If you have any questions about our Virtual Equality Rally with PROMO, please contact EqualityDay@PROMOonline.org

(Canceled) PrideFloat 2020 Camping Weekend
Jun 4 @ 1:00 pm – Jun 8 @ 1:00 pm

This event has been canceled due to the current health crisis. Plans are underway for the next float trip on June 10-14, 2021.

Annual Pridefloat Weekend
Thursday, June 4, 2020 thru June 8, 2020
Lebanon, MO

See website for details and RSVP: www.pridefloat.net

Pridefloat is about a bunch of gay guys and gals from all over the Mid-West (mostly Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, and Illinois) camping together for five days and four nights and having a good time. For the past 6 years we have had 15 different states represented! Wow! Each year we have a blast making new friends and seeing our old ones again. Pridefloat is open to gay men and women, couples, singles, and gay friendly Heterosexuals. Pridefloat is one place where gay men and women can actually get to know each other, understand and appreciate our differences, and have fun together. We feel there is not enough events that incorporate gay men and women together as equals. We have many who return each  year. First timers often leave saying “I will be here every year from now on.” The weekend goes by way too quickly.
