PTSL meet up at Just John’s for Golden Happy Hour from 5 to 8 PM. An RSVP is not necessary for this event. Just show up any time during happy hour and enjoy the evening with fellow Prime Timers. Complementary food during happy hour.
This event does not have a coordinator. Prime Timers can be found in a group in the rear of the bar or out on the patio in nice weather. If you don’t see us, ask the bartender.
This Post is special in the St. Louis area for both its reasonable lunch offerings (click for menu), its low priced full service bar and No Taxes.
Park and use the front or back door, order and pick up at the bar, eat at our tables in the adjoining private banquet room (if available). We can eat and then possibly play games after lunch. Bring your favorite, maybe dominoes or cards.
A reminder, purchases at the Post support our veterans. Come have lunch with your friends and benefit those who have fought for our rights and freedoms.
Don’t sit at home and eat alone. Come join us for a fun lunchtime. RSVP by October 7 accepts only (needed for accommodations) to Eric Johnson at firstname.lastname@example.org
Ample free self-parking – Street-level entrance (no steps).
Eric will make this a regular event the second Tuesday of each month.
Note: this event, normally the first Thursday of the month, is being postponed one week (to July 11) because of the July 4 holiday.
The Golden Corral is an American family style restaurant chain serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, and featuring a large all-you-can-eat buffet and grill offering numerous hot and cold dishes, a carving station and their Brass Bell Bakery. Note from Eric:
I decided on the Field Friend Membership ($25.00 online). I then called and reserved my Happy Hour ticket.
I attended the Happy Hour on Jan. 31. Nice location, easy free parking at the back entrance. The new building attached to the house is something to see. They had a very nice spread of hors d’oeuvres (hot meatballs, slice salami, vegetable tray, assorted crackers, several dips, delicious deserts) plus wine, beer, soda… Also included was a guided tour of the Field House and full access to the museum.
I can now go to the rest of the Happy Hours for Free (5 more this year).
Join me at the next History Happy Hour in the Field House Museum. I’ll be in the elegant library with a glass of wine.
