See the first skyscraper in the USA, a building sitting on top of quicksand, the site of the largest indoor gathering ever held in the United States, a building with 12 corner offices on each floor, a hotel where Cary Grant started the practice of putting mints on friends' pillows at night and the largest piece of stainless steel in the world. Join fellow Kansas City Prime Timers in Jefferson City for guided tours of the Governor's Mansion, the State Supreme Court and the State Capitol & Museum. We leave at 8:00 AM from a central car pool location TBA. Although all the tours are FREE, car poolers are asked to reimburse their driver for the cost of gas.
This special joint Chapter trip gives you an opportunity to meet with fellow KC Prime Timers throughout the day and over lunch at the famous Madison's Cafe (Click for web site.) We end our day with ice cream at Central Dairy before heading home.
